Stop by, “talk story,” watch, and learn! Rose will demonstrate how to make a beautiful floral hairpiece! Hui No’eau’s Art with Aloha Program is made possible with support from the Hawaii Tourism Authority.
Born and raised on her grandparent’s Kula farm, Rose Piilani Bailey is a hula dancer and Hawaiian arts practitioner. She has learned family traditions that have been passed down for many generations and takes pride in using many native Hawaiian plants and materials in her lei making and other hana noeau (arts). She uses local flowers grown at her own home, fresh from the farm, to make lei and floral arrangements. In addition, Rose collaborates on special events such as weddings and graduations, teaches the art of lei making and hula, tends to her family’s fruit and flower farms, and styles photoshoots. kularoses.com / @KulaRoses
