Menehune Shores is a beautiful six story oceanfront property located in North Kihei and offers unobstructed views of the clear blue Pacific. The property features an immaculately kept lawn area, a shuffleboard court, an onsite restaurant (Monsoon India), a swimming pool and two barbecue areas. It sits next to the historic 16th century royal fish pond of Kalepolepo. The property is an excellent location for stunning sunsets, swimming, romantic beach strolling, and seasonal whale watching. The unit interiors include fully equipped kitchens, cable television, free local phone service, private lanais and luxury linens supplied directly by Ali'i Resorts.


A Note from the Owner:  Unit 412 is on the 4th floor offering a very private lanai and is the closest you can get to the water. When you are sitting on the lanai you hear the waves flowing over the lava wall that creates the historical fish pond, while enjoying spectacular views/sunsets. During whale season, you can watch the whales as they breach. It's extremely relaxing and romantic.

Menehune Shores #412

We stayed a Menehune Shores 412 from 23 August to 30 August. The condo was very clean, full of everything you need for a holiday in the sun. Beach chairs, chilly bin and a fridge with ice and cold water was great. The view was exceptional, ocean and more ocean, gorgeous. the staff member who greeted us was very friendly and full of information for us being first timers in Maui. The air con in the condo was a great option as some nights were very warm especially for us who are used to a cool climate. I would definitely recommend Menehune Shores for a holiday stay and particularly 412.

Amazing Location. Beautiful and Well appointed Condo!

This condo was a great find and a wonderful spot to start our Hawaiian vacation. The owners have thought of everything you could possibly need from binoculars for whales watching from the lanai to quality pots and pans for searing up some fresh ahi! This is a quality place that I would confidently recommend. Check in was easy and they called the next day to be sure everything was fine. The owner's info binder was really helpful with maps of snorkel beaches, food suggestions and more. The owners and management company do a really nice job. If there was anything at all that we wished for, it would have been a few more dining locations in walking distance, but the long walks on the beach more than made up for that!

Relaxing and comfortable stay.

Very good service from ali'i Resorts. Comfortable condo with superb oceanfront view from the lanai especially at sunset. Close to activities, beach, shopping and restaurants.

Awesome!!!

We stayed for a week, had absolutely marvelous time. Condo was exactly as described with stunning ocean view. Kitchen was well equipped. Everything that we could have needed during our stay was provided in the condo.

Wanted to stay forever!

This was our third trip to Maui - and we honestly wanted to stay there permanently. On previous trips we've stayed in a resort and cruised - this was our first stay in a condo. We loved everything about it. This unit lives up to every photo and review that we had seen before our trip. It's beautifully furnished, and the view is amazing! The grounds of the facility are kept up meticulously by staff that we saw working around the clock. We used the grills by the pool nearly every night. This was a great feature! Some reviews we had seen before the trip indicated that the ocean could be a bit murky/weedy right outside the building but we never experienced this. The water was clear and great for swimming (and there was not a weed to be seen!) The location was also great - it was very easy to get anywhere we wanted to go. We love Maui and really hope to make it our home some day. In the meantime, we'll just have to come for visits =) The top of our priority list will be to reserve this specific unit as it had everything we needed and more. Menehune Shores #412

Enjoyed our stay at Menehune Shores. Great lanai water view for relaxing and whale watching. Unit quite nice, however the bed linens were oversized for the double bed and storage in bedroom somewhat limited (minor items). Met some very nice people at the complex at the barbecue area(s). P

Stunningly Beautiful

Outstanding in every way. Quiet, restful and an amazing view!!! Everything is a short drive away or a walk. Will be back!!!

Great spot, we will be back

Great appartment, exactly as pictured, clean, full kitchen, which was essential for us as we did not go to the restaurant. Wireless internet access worked without problem (in fact, we had a small problem one day that was resolved by alii Resorts the next day, and that was on a Sunday, so great response time). Staff for the building cleaned the common areas of the building all the time, this is a very well maintained property. Grass at the ground level is cut short like a green on a golf course. Great pool too. Nice view from the roof on the 7th floor, and we used a number of times the barbecues on the 7th floor to cook our meals, those barbecues too were kept extra clean by the property staff. Air conditionning in the living room and the bedroom worked flawlessly but, that being said, with trade winds (and it gets very windy in the afternoon/night), we often just kept the patio door opened and the wind was fresh enough to save us from using the air conditionning. Early in the morning you could see the local fishermen trying to catch fish with nets in the shallow waters right in front of the building. In summary, great view, clean, full kitchen, nice pool. Outside of the short term rentals like us, it looked like the permanent residents were mostly retired couples. We recommend highly, we will be back.

Balcony on paradise

We loved the beach front location and the building and grounds were kept in immaculate condition. There were several markets near-by and lots of small eateries. We enjoyed the beaches on either side but drove farther up or down the coast for good snorkeling. We had one glaring complaint about the beautiful condo: with its location, the sun sets directly into the glass/mirrored front, and with no way to block the sun, it was blinding for several hours. An outside dropping shade would be a welcome addition.

Gorgeous Ocean view and condo

We had a fabulous time staying in #412. Not only was the condo beautifully decorated, the owner had thoughtfully provided all the extras to make the stay complete, including beach chairs, boogie boards, cooler, lovely glassware and dishes, in-suite laundry, lovely linens, great TV and sound system, air-conditioning, incredible kitchen (and every appliance we could possibly use) and luxurious shower. We enjoyed watching the sunsets, surf, kite-boarders and palm trees from the lanai. The condo is well located for trips along the north coast or to Hani or south to snorkel or take in a luau in Wailea. Although the high wind was relentless and carried a lot of dust into the condo when the doors were open, it also cooled the condo nicely so we didn't have to use the a/C. I noticed from the guest book that quite a few Canadians had stayed in and enjoyed #412. Ali'i Resorts were very helpful with recommendations and instructions. We felt well taken care of. Our favourite adventure was ziplining with Flying Hawaiian Zipline Tours (only half hour drive away)and our favourite dinner was just down the street at Sansai for amazing sushi, other than the steak dinner we made at the condo Bbqs and ate with champagne on the lanai watching the sunset. How perfect is that?

Beautifully done!

This is a beautiful condo. Over the years, I've stayed at many at Menehuene Shores, and this is at the top of the list. Ali'i Resorts personnel did a great job in getting us what we needed for the condo.
  • Check-in time is 3:00pm / Check-out time is 11:00am.
  • Confirmed reservations will receive a letter of confirmation with a reservation number.
  • All units are non-smoking and pets are not permitted.
  • Rates are subject to change.
  • All rates are subject to 13.42% Hawaii State GE/TA Tax and are based on Standard Occupancy.
  • A 3-night deposit is required at time of booking. (Check deposits within 7 days of booking. All payments must be in US Dollars.)
  • Guest is responsible for the effects of changes in exchange rate and all fees. Refunds will not be issued due to exchange rate changes.
  • Full prepayment is due 60 days prior to arrival (90 days for Christmas/New Year’s bookings, 120 days for stays of 28+ nights).  Your final payment will be automatically charged to the credit card on file on the appropriate due date unless auto-charge is declined.
  • All reservations are subject to a Guest Service Fee which includes WiFi (when available), parking, local phone calls, applicable property fees and applicable cleaning costs.
  • Applicable cleaning fees will be added for stays less than 5 nights.
  • An Early Check In or Late Check-Out may be available at 50% of non-discounted daily rate.
  • Christmas/New Year’s reservations are not subject to normal discounts and minimum nights are required based on unit size. A 10 night minimum is required on 1 bedroom units and a 14 night minimum is required on 2 and 3 bedroom units.
  • Long-Stay Reservations: Any stay 28 nights or longer requires a deposit equaled to 25% of the total value of the reservation. Final prepayment is due 120 days prior to arrival.
  • Cancellation Policy: A fee of 10% of the gross rent or $200, whichever is greater, will be assessed for cancellations received 60+ days prior to arrival (90+ days for Christmas/New Year’s, 120+ days for Long-Stay). For cancellations received within 60 days of arrival (90 days for Christmas/New Year’s bookings, 120 days for stays of 28+ nights) or after arrival date, payments will be retained. If the space can be re-rented, a pro-rata refund will be issued for reservations paid in full.
  • Approved refunds will be remitted via check only and mailed to the address on file.
  • Standard Occupancy is the base number of persons allowed per dwelling unit based on standard bedding and restrictions. 1-Bedroom (2 people), 2-Bedroom (4 people), 3-Bedroom (6 people). Additional person(s) charge of $20 plus tax per person per night above standard occupancy using standard bedding to a maximum occupancy of: 1-Bedroom (4 people), 2-Bedroom (6 people), and 3-Bedroom (8 people). Children 12 and under are free (extra person fee does not apply), but are counted towards maximum occupancy.
  • Accidental Property Damage Waiver: Accidental Property Damage Waiver affords protection to guests for accidental breakage or damage to the individual rental home up to a maximum of $1000. Damage must be reported by the guest to the Ali’i Resorts office prior to departure. Damage not reported by guests will not be covered by Accidental Property Damage Waiver and the guest will be responsible for any damages incurred. Cost is $40 + tax and is non-refundable. This waiver protection is added to the rent unless guest opt-out/decline protection in writing on Rental Agreement. If you choose to deny the damage waiver, you will be charged a refundable $400 cash security deposit.
  • Guest is responsible for all phone charges exceeding local standard service.
  • All guests are required to complete the registration form within 24 hours of arrival with Ali’i Resorts and, if required, register with the property. Failure to complete the registration form may result in immediate eviction.
  • All guests are required to abide by the Rules of the vacation rental property.
  • Owner and /or Ali’i Resorts and /or hired vendors of Owner/Alii Resorts may enter property with 24-hour notice to tenants occupying unit (except during scheduled cleanings and emergencies) to perform necessary repairs or maintenance, inspect unit or show unit, if necessary.
  • Ali’i Resorts, LLC reserves the right to change your condominium accommodation due to repairs, condo owner use and acts of God. If this should happen, Ali’i Resorts, LLC will make efforts to provide you with another condominium of equal or greater value at the same rate you were paying, or refund the difference for a lower rate condominium, or allow cancellation of your reservation without a cancellation penalty.
  • Guests and other parties involved with the reservation, including but not limited to, travel agents or online travel agents, hereby agree to verify all reservation details including, but not limited to, the accuracy of the rate, applicable fees, condominium complex, and condominium unit number specified in the reservation confirmation.  Ali’i Resorts is not responsible for any third party’s failure to display or provide current photos of the property.  The most current photos are located at www.AliiResorts.com
