Maui Sunset Cruises

Whether you’re looking to notch up the romance, the relaxation, or just find something to do with the whole family, a Maui sunset cruise is where it’s at. If you think all those colors in the sky are gorgeous during a sunset, you should see them reflected in the water. Maui offers a variety of sunset cruises. Some are geared more toward cocktails and appetizers, while others offer a full dinner selection. Check out some of our favorite local tours:

Pride of Maui

The Pride of Maui is a spacious catamaran that is just waiting to take you out on the open water from the Maalaea Harbor. It offers a delicious cocktail bar (you can order a microbrew if that’s more your style) and live music by Joe Cano. Dinner is also served with the tour, and the food is made fresh, so you’ll love every bite. This is the perfect relaxing sunset getaway, and you might even be able to catch sight of some humpback whales if you visit between January and March!

Trilogy Captain’s Sunset Sail

You’ll get a private table on board this intimate and luxurious catamaran for an adults-only sunset sail. Test the bartenders on their cocktail knowledge or just sip a soothing glass of wine as you sail past the Pali Sea Cliffs. The onboard chef makes the meal as the ship sails, so everything is as fresh as can be. When the anchor drops in a secluded cove, you’ll know that it’s time for the first course. Let your eyes explore the natural beauty of the ocean as your taste buds delight in a steak, fish, chicken, or vegetarian meal. The sun should be setting right around dessert time, so grab an extra drink (you aren’t driving) as you watch the sun go down on another amazing day in Maui. Total time on the water is 2.5 hours.

(Note: Trilogy also offers a lower cost, two-hour sunset tour that allows teens and kids.)

Sea Monkey Private Sunset Charter

If you want to impress someone special in a big way, then choose your own adventure with a private charter. Sea Monkey offers its 31’ cruiser yacht, which leaves right out of Lahaina Harbor. You won’t have to share the boat with anyone except the captain and the crew who are all there to serve you! Skip the lines, the crowds, and the screaming babies ruining your relaxation. It’s just you and your someone special staring out at the open water. The charter includes snacks and refreshments. You’ll need to provide your own alcoholic beverages, so make sure you grab a bottle of wine (or two) before you embark!
