Kihei Surfside Resort is a unique six story oceanfront property located in South Kihei offering 180 degree views of the clear blue Pacific. The property and adjacent Keawekapu Beach together provide excellent locations for stunning sunsets, snorkeling, swimming, romantic beach strolling, and seasonal whale watching. Kihei Surfside Resort features an oceanfront pool area giving you the comfort of a pool setting with the beauty of a day at the beach. An oceanfront lawn with a wraparound view and gas barbeques is the envy of the area and the resort offers free parking to guests. The unit interiors include fully equipped kitchens, cable television, free local phone service, private lanais and luxury linen supplied directly by Alii Resorts.

A note from the owner: Come enjoy our newly renovated ocean front condo. We did a complete renovation in December of 2006 and it is nicely appointed with granite counter tops in the kitchen and bathrooms.

You can enjoy great sunsets from the lanai every evening or while you barbecue by the pool. The large grassy area outside the condo is great for playing with the kids. The master bedroom has a king size bed and has an on-suite bathroom for complete privacy.

The guest bedroom has two twin beds that can also be pushed together to create a king size bed if needed, which makes this a great condo for families and couples alike.

Check-In / Check-Out Times

  • Check-in time is 4:00 PM / Check-out time is 10:00 AM
  • Valid identification and matching valid accepted credit card required at the time of check-in.
  • All guests are required to complete the registration form within 24 hours of arrival with Alii Resorts, LLC and, if required, register with the property. Failure to complete the registration form may result in access code deactivation and/or immediate eviction.

Reservations

  • Confirmed reservations will receive a letter of confirmation with a reservation number after the signing of the E-signature document.
  • Rates are subject to change.
  • All rates are subject to 14.42% Hawaii State GE/TA Tax as required by law and are based on Standard Occupancy.
  • All rates are subject to a 3% Maui County Tax required by law and are based on standard occupancy.
  • State and County taxes are subject to change and any adjustment will require full payment prior to check-in. In the event changes are enacted, you will be notified to make any additional payment. These changes can occur after the original full payment is made.
  • A 3-night deposit is required at the time of booking for reservations under 28 nights.
  • Long Stay Reservations: Any stay 28 nights or longer requires a deposit equal to 25% of the total value of the reservation.
  • We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover and AMEX credit card payments.
  • Payments made by check/ACH will receive a 2% discount off the gross rent of the reservation (Deposit AND Final Payments must be made by check/ACH to receive the discount). All ACH payments will require a signed authorization form before your reservation is confirmed. ACH banks must be made with US banks.
  • Check payments must be received within 7 days of the date of booking. All check payments must be in US dollars.
  • Full prepayment is due 60 days prior to arrival (90 days for Christmas/New Year’s bookings, 120 days for stays of 28+ nights). Your final payment will be automatically charged to the credit card on file on the appropriate due date unless auto-charge is declined.
  • All reservations are subject to a Guest Service Fee that may include but are not limited to applicable cleaning and resort fees.
  • Additional cleaning fees will be added for stays less than 5 nights, when applicable.
  • A welcome kit with a starter supply of toilet paper, tissue, bar soap, paper towels, dishwashing soap, and spare trash can liners. Alii Resorts does not replenish these items.
  • Daily maid service is only provided at select properties.  However, periodic mid-stay cleanings or linen or towel exchanges are available for purchase (subject to availability and schedule). A minimum 72-hour advance notification is required to schedule additional housekeeping services/drops. Mid-stay cleaning services, linen, and towel exchanges occur between 9:00 am and 6:00 pm on the scheduled date. Depending on your unit, guests may be asked to not be present during elective housekeeping services such as a mid-stay clean.

Property Damage

  • Accidental Property Damage Waiver: Accidental Property Damage Waiver affords protection to guests for accidental reported breakage or damage to the individual rental home up to a maximum of $1000. Damage must be reported by the guest to the Alii Resorts office prior to departure. Damage not reported by guests will not be covered by Accidental Property Damage Waiver and the guest will be responsible for any damages incurred. Cost is $50, $60, $70 or $80 (varies by unit size/location) + tax and is non-refundable. This waiver protection is added to the total reservation cost.
  • Each unit is inspected prior to arrival and again following departure. Charges will be assessed for the repair / replacement of any damaged or missing items.
  • Guests agree that any applicable damages / missing items will be charged to the credit card on file.
  • Each unit is inspected prior to arrival and again following each guest departure. Should your unit require excessive cleaning following your departure, additional charges will apply, and cannot be covered by the Damage Waiver.

Cancellation and Changes

  • A fee of 10% of the gross rent or $200, whichever is greater, will be assessed for cancellations received 60+ days prior to arrival (90+ days for Christmas/New Year’s, 120+ days for Long Stay). For cancellations received within 60 days of arrival (90 days for Christmas/New Year’s bookings, 120 days for stays of 28+ nights) or after arrival date. No refund is available unless space can be re-rented. If space can be re-rented, a pro-rata refund will be issued for reservations paid in full. Cancellations are subject to a processing/handling fee.
  • Approved refunds will be remitted via check only and mailed to the address on file.
  • Guest is responsible for the effects of changes in the exchange rate and all fees. Refunds will not be issued due to exchange rate changes.
  • No refunds are given for unused nights, late arrival, early departure, or no-shows. Should guest fail to make payment on or before the final balance due date, the reservation may be declared in default and all monies forfeited.

COVID-19 Exposure

  • An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death. By visiting the island of Maui, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19.

Early Check-In or Late Check-Out

  • An Early Check-In or Late Check-Out may be available at 50% of the non-discounted daily rate on participating condos.

Holidays

  • Christmas/New Year’s reservations are not subject to normal discounts and minimum nights are required based on unit size. A 10- night minimum is required on 1-bedroom units and a 14-night minimum is required on 2- and 3-bedroom units.

Rental Occupancy

  • Standard Occupancy is the base number of persons allowed per dwelling unit based on standard bedding and restrictions. 1-Bedroom (2 people), 2-Bedroom (4 people), 3-Bedroom (6 people).
  • Additional person(s) charge(s) of $20 plus tax per-person, per-night above standard occupancy using standard bedding to a maximum occupancy of 1-Bedroom (4 people), 2-Bedroom (6 people), and 3-Bedroom (8 people). At no time may occupancy exceed the maximum occupancy level for any unit. Maximum occupancy varies per rental. For specific maximum occupancy please contact Alii Resorts
  • Kamaole Nalu Charges $25 a day for any occupants over four no matter the age of the occupant for additional usage of the Kamaole Nalu.
  • Occupancy is restricted to the pre-approved number of guests, regardless of age. Extra occupants will result in additional charges and, depending on the property’s house rules, may serve as just-cause for immediate termination of the rental contract.
  • Children 12 and under are free (extra person fee does not apply) but are counted towards maximum occupancy.
  • All units are non-smoking. Pets are not permitted.
  • Alii Resorts, LLC is not responsible for the retrieval and return of lost and found items. Shipping/handling fees apply for mailing back lost and found items. A minimum charge of $50 plus the cost of shipping applies. Depending on circumstances, additional fees could apply.
  • Guest is responsible for all phone charges exceeding local standard service and/or additional ordered cable charges.
  • Alii Resorts, LLC is not responsible for childproofing accommodations.
  • Alii Resorts, LLC will communicate with guests as Alii Resorts is notified of disruptions to the tenants’ enjoyment due to construction projects, noise at neighboring properties, or interruption in available amenities. Properties are treated professionally for insect control. Additional measures are available upon request. Appliances and electronics which include but are not limited to; air conditioning units, TVs, DVD players, water heaters, washer/dryers, internet, and Phone service are known to be in operation upon arrival unless the guest is notified otherwise. The guest accepts that unexpected impacts happen due to construction projects, noise at neighboring properties, interruption in available amenities, insects, failed appliances/electronics, interruptions in utilities including but not limited to the internet may occur and guest agrees to hold Alii Resorts/Owner harmless for such incidents. Alii Resorts, LLC agrees to make good faith efforts to resolve the reported problem as quickly as possible.
  • Alii Resorts will work to ensure that all appliances and equipment are in proper working order. Unexpected failure of any equipment/appliances will not constitute a guest refund. Provided that Alii Resorts is promptly notified of any property or equipment defects, malfunctions, or damages, be assured that Alii Resorts will work to remedy the breakdown as soon as possible to minimize guest inconvenience.
  • Alii Resorts has no control and is not responsible for disturbances caused by adjacent properties or from nearby units within the same property. Any incidents reported will not constitute a guest refund. However, be assured that Alii Resorts will make every effort possible to minimize guest inconvenience within our control.
  • Should maintenance issues arise, guests are required to allow reasonable access to the property to provide remedy, and to make necessary inspections and repairs. Each property has quarterly pest control services which treat for pests found in tropical climates. Pest control issues will not constitute a guest refund. However, Alii Resorts will work to eradicate the problem as soon as possible. Maintaining a food-free sink, garbage disposal, countertops, floors, and trash will help to minimize the proliferation of tropical pests.
  • Owner and /or Alii Resorts, LLC, and /or hired vendors of Owner/Alii Resorts, LLC may enter property with 24-hour notice to tenants occupying unit (except during scheduled cleanings and emergencies) to perform necessary repairs or maintenance, inspect unit or show unit, if necessary.
  • Alii Resorts, LLC reserves the right to change guest condominium/home accommodation. In most cases, this is due to repairs, condo owner use, and/or acts of God. If this should happen, Alii Resorts, LLC will make good faith efforts to provide you with another condominium/home of equal or greater value at the same rate you were paying or refund the difference for a lower rate condominium/home or allow cancellation of guests reservation without a cancellation penalty. We strongly recommend trip protection for all reservations. Trip protection will take precedence when available.
  • Guests and other parties involved with the reservation, including but not limited to, travel agents or online travel agents, hereby agree to verify all reservation details including, but not limited to, the accuracy of the rate, applicable fees, condominium complex, and condominium unit number specified in the reservation confirmation.
  • Alii Resorts, LLC is not responsible for any third party’s failure to display or provide current photos of the property or for variation in 3rd party posted rates. All 3rd parties are advised to and are responsible for posting accurate rates. Alii Resorts, LLC does not control, nor is responsible for any 3rd party booking site fees. House Rules

  • Every resort has “quiet hours” – please see your in-room compendium for the exact hours. Please be conscious of noise from any source in order that other residents shall not be disturbed. Please follow any property rules that may be outlined in your compendium or provided/posted by the resort management.
  • The resort’s House Rules are included in your compendium or may be provided by resort management. Guests are responsible for not violating any of those house rules and for any fines resulting from a violation of guests of the condo or their visitors. Some resorts impose strict consequences for violations, up to and including eviction or assessment of fines. Please take a few minutes prior to arrival to review the property’s house rules.

  • Guests agree that any disagreements pertaining to this reservation policy will first be attempted to be resolved by good faith negations. Guests and Alii Resorts, LLC agree that if a dispute has not been successfully resolved within 30 days, the matter will be submitted to mediation for resolution in Maui, Hawaii prior to any litigation and any litigation pertaining to this reservation policy will take place exclusively in courts located in Maui County, Hawaii.
  • This reservation policy represents the entire Agreement of the guests and Alii Resorts, LLC, and may be modified only in writing. It will be governed by the laws of the State of Hawaii and will be binding on a successor, assigns, or devisees. If any provision in this reservation policy is unenforceable, the remaining provisions are valid and enforceable and apply to all occupants within the accommodation.

Bliss for 3 generations

This is our second visit to unit 214 at the Surfside and fourth time to the complex. We love this unit for many reasons, it's updated and spacious design, and comfortable furnishings. It's location at the quiet end of the building still provides an excellent view of the ocean and the mountains of west maui,while giving you morning sun on the deck and lots of privacy. The second floor makes it a short trip down to the ground floor. The unit is very comfortably appointed with a great kitchen and lots of privacy for everyone in our 3 generation group. We love the Surfside for it's location (the massive oceanfront exposure and huge manicured lawn can't be beat) as well as it's sense of community and great staff, free movie rentals, book library and use of bocce, croquet and shuffleboard. We will definitely be back.

Relaxing, open property with everything you want close by

Stayed in aug, temps in mid 80s. Loved location by beautiful, non-crowded beach. Huge grassy lawn adjacent to bldg. is unobstructed view, 9 hole putting green and lots of open space for activities. Bocce Ball and Shuffleboard checked out from office. Every day folks were outside incl. early morning yoga, etc. Bldg adjacent to great restaurant (5 Palms), mini-market (Zacks) and Beach Rentals (Surf Sports). We got a pkg rate at a discount for 9 days of snorkel gear and boogie boards, and then daily check out of sup (Stand up Paddle boards). Example: snorkel gear $15 for 7+ days. Unit is on far end of bldg away from ocean but still has great views. I would have preferred other end of bldg., but 2 bedroom units are limited and only on either end of the bldg. Ceiling fans in all rooms so comfortable, except back bedroom required a floor fan also since no air flow, and alii Resorts provided one after we called. Alii very responsive to all requests. Unit is nice, clean w/large balcony (Only "end units" have large balcony which was nice for outdoor dining). Kitchen well appointed but Limited storage for food items so counter space gets cluttered. Unit sits above a f/t resident who I believe helps manage the property and has a dog that you occasionally hear barking. Also, this end of bldg. is next to parking and trash bins, which wasn't a noise or smell problem, but does take away from the view. However, no neighbors to your right and never heard any other noises in bldg. Family room has couch and chair but would have loved a bit more seating option but area is a bit small. Walking trail all the way to S. Wailea is great and you pass other high end resorts with folks "staking out" their beach chairs by 9am. Loved "Not" having to do this at Kihei Surfside!!! Don't miss the crowds at beach or pool! Other guests were friendly and active-oriented. Enjoyed all we met while out using BBQ, etc. Loved it for our family (kids 18, 21) and would stay at property again.

Enjoyed our June 2013 stay

The room was clean, well equipped and just plain enjoyable. One of the hinges of the toilet seat cover in the master bedroom was broken, but no big deal. This was our 4th stay at Surfside, and the four members of our family all agree that it was the best, partly because of the room (214), and also the improvements on the property grounds. Ali'i Resorts are the best, great service and attention to our comfort.

Paradise Found!

I was a little concerned at first about the unit's view relative to the oceanfront but our golf-course-like view from 214 was wonderful!! So peaceful and relaxing--the grass is so perfect it looks like carpeting! Great for quiet strolls, using the putting green or just enjoying life while you laze on your lanai'i with a coffee in the morning or mai tai in the evening. This very spacious unit was loaded to the teeth with absolutely everything you need, in addition to comfy beach chairs and a small cooler for the beach. (no boogie boards or equipment for liability reasons) Beach behind the unit was amazing and has very easy access from the Surfside. Beds were very comfortable, appliances all top-of-the-line and overall felt like home the entire time we stayed. Our only struggle was making sure we got to bed at a decent time at night because if you're not an early riser, a friendly rooster and the chirping birds will make you one! We're not morning people at all but were very thankful these creatures woke us to each day because who wants to sleep in in paradise!? Look at all the beautiful mornings you'd be missing!! Never once did we feel "disturbed" by them and enjoyed getting up and sitting with fresh coffee on the lanai'i watching people go for a walk or run along the oceanside path. Ali'i Resorts was a breeze to deal with. Very helpful and friendly. Even had a rep stop by to visit to say hello and make sure all was okay. Parking lot located to the right of the unit is not a problem at all & the work crew that come to cut the lawn start at a very reasonable hour. (and remember we're not morning people so that says a lot) Pool is great and oceanside grilling a 10! Pictures don't do this unit justice...so much nicer in person. Would definitely stay here again!! Owners have obviously taken great pride in this unit so remember all visitors to do the same. We always do our best to leave a place better than when we found it. Two thumbs up all around for 214!

Ali'i Resorts are a top flight rental management company. They go the extra mile for you which is why we have used them for the last several years for trips to Maui. They go out of their way to show the aloha spirit. They are not only at the unit to greet you, but are available from early morning to late evening to respond to any questions you may have. Kihei Surfside #214 is a fantastic unit. It is a modern, up-to-date condo that has everything you need for a great Maui vacation. It easily accommodates two couples, and would be fine for a small family (it only sleeps four). The second bedroom consists of two twin beds, so be sure to tell ali'i if it will be occupied by a couple so they can convert it to a king before you arrive. The unit does not have a/C but that's not a problem, the tradewinds keep things more than comfortable. The unit has beach chairs and even a cooler for your use. The in-unit washer and dryer means that you don't have to pack as much, or at least you don't have to worry about finding a laundromat. Kihei Surfside is right next to Keawakapu Beach, about a two minute walk outside your front door. It is one of our favorite beaches in all of Maui. It is so expansive you never feel cramped. The biggest downside of the Kihei Surfside is that the only nearby restaurant (Five Palms) is an expensive one with very spotty service. But, as the condo has all the kitchen equipment you need, you can make most meals right in the unit and save a lot of money from not eating out. The unit doesn't have its own BBQ, but the Surfside has a couple of first-come, first-serve Bbq's next to the pool. The broad expanse of grass on the north side of the Surfside gives plenty of room for kids to run, soak up the sun, or play bocce. They even have a putting green. We have stayed four times at the Kihei Surfside and #214 is definitely our favorite.

Excellent accommodation

Kihei Surfside is the choice, look no further. 30 seconds to Keawakapu, awesome beach. Store across the parking lot for snacks and sunscreen. Bocce, shuffleboard, and loungers for the beautiful lawn area. Easy walk to Kamaole beaches. Unit #214 itself is exactly as the pictures show. Has washer and dryer in unit which was very convenient. Kitchen was very nice, furniture in living room was adequate, master king bed could use a mattress replacement- not unbearable though. Overall, a great place to relax with beautiful views of the water and north Maui. Our family of 5 had a great time coming and going with keyless entry. Excellent stay!

Beautiful condo; great location; noise may be an issue for some

The remodeled inside of the 2- bedroom condo is lovely, spotless and comfortable. We appreciated the corner location with its wall of windows and large lanai. The condo was well equipped and we appreciated the in-room washer/dryer. The Surfside's location on a large grassy lawn with views of the ocean was beyond excellent. We made use of the lawn for sunning and watching the sunset. Access to one of the best beaches in the Islands is directly adjacent to the lawn, and one can walk all the way to the Wailea resorts if desired. Some of our party snorkled right in front of the property and enjoyed viewing sea turtles. We did see whales several times from the lawn, at a distance so we were glad we remembered our binoculars. Despite the busy week before the Christmas holidays, Ali'i Resort staff members were attentive and professional. Some folks considering this location may want to know the potential downside of the lovely lawn. Apparently there is public access and many folks tend to enter from the parking lot next to this unit, some with dogs (many unleashed). Because there is a dog living directly below 214, barking occurs when other dogs come by and the resident dog is in the small 'yard' that has been added to the unit directly below. With or without the dogs, the public access past the condo does contribute to noise while using the lanai. One traveler in our party used the sleeper sofa in the living area. Even in December and with two excellent ceiling fans she felt she was too hot with the windows closed at night. With these open, some nights noise from the parking lot and Kihei Road north of the parking lot woke her up. (Please note the parking lot adjacent to unit 214 also contains garbage and recycling bins and the shop and smoking area for staff.) Those of us in bedrooms were not bothered by noise at night.

Perfect in every way!!

From the wonderful beaches, great snorkeling, all the amenities you could need in one location. Prompt stellar service from alii resorts made our holidays again one to remember. We have been staying with alii for 5 years now and will be continuing for many more. Thankyou for your outstanding services and quality condos.

Paradise found!!

We had an incredible stay at the Kihei Surfside. We travel to maui often, and this was our best experience for accommodations. Our unit had everything we could ask for - beach chairs, cooler, ice packs, towels, free wireless, TV in every room, and a fully equipped kitchen. The grounds are spectacular, and the staff wonderful. Ali'i Resorts made the entire process simple, and smooth.

beyond expectations

we have stayed in many of the units at the surfside and all of them were very good. unit 214 was beyond our expectations and by far the nicest. every detail was superb from the towels to cookware. the service was excellent ,very professional. had already booked for next year and hadn't even finished this year's vacation

Perfect for our family gathering!

What a nice property. We enjoyed the view, location, the large grassy area to play games and a fabulous unit. The smaller condo complex made it very comfortable to let the kids play, relax, and visit with other folks, especially at the nightly sunset gatherings. The units were well stocked with everything we needed for cooking, Bbqing, etc. We will definately be back! Aloha
