Kamaole Nalu Resort is a six-story oceanfront property located in South Kihei. It offers time stopping views of the dazzling Pacific Ocean and a friendly casual atmosphere. Adjacent to the property is Kamaole Beach, well known for its romantic sunsets, great swimming, and seasonal whale watching. Kamaole Nalu Resort offers free parking, oceanfront pool, and a gas barbecue area. The interiors include fully equipped kitchens, cable television, free local phone service, free high speed internet, private lanais and luxury linens supplied directly by Ali'i Resorts.


A note from the Owner:  Our 4th floor end unit is perfectly positioned to take advantage of over 180 degrees of unobstructed ocean and coastline views. Listen to waves, enjoy glorious sunsets, or watch whales, turtles, and dolphins from the kitchen, living room, dining area, bedroom, or oceanfront lanai. You can't get any closer to the water and be able to enjoy all of this!


Nestled on a point between two of South Maui's best sandy beaches, excellent boogie boarding, body surfing and beach activities are just steps away. Abundant tropical fish, turtles, mantas, and colorful coral make for a great snorkeling experience off the point directly in front of the condo.


Cool off in the oceanfront pool and relax in a chair on the manicured oceanfront lawn. Our two-bedroom, two-bath unit was completely remodeled in 2009 with granite counters, designer cabinets, new appliances and new furnishings. It features a king size pillow top bed in master, two full size beds in guest room, a flat screen TV, DVD/VCR, unlimited long distance phone, free wireless internet service, copier and fax. - David and Renee

Great first time in Maui

We truly enjoyed our stay at Kamaole Nalu #406. The view from our balcony was breathtaking. From there we could see the beautiful beach, mountains, ocean and neighboring islands, and of course, the spectacular sunset at the end of each day. As we drove around the island to check out other places, we still found Kihei, where this condo is situated, a very comfortable location, conveniently close to many shops and, restaurants, and not overwhelmingly touristy. We were glad to find a nearby farmer's market where we could buy fresh and delicious island fruits (pineapple, papaya, cherimoya, passion fruits, apple bananas). The condo unit was furnished with everything we needed. We used the kitchen a lot to prepare our meals, with the grocery we bought at Costco on the way in from the airport. The unit was not air-conditioned but there was always a breeze and the outside temperatures were very comfortable during our stay so we had no problem sleeping at night when the air cooled down to the 60's. I really appreciated that we were so close to the beach where the kids could just walk down there without having to cross any street traffic and that we could see them from the balcony. Free internet worked better during the day when there were fewer people sign on. It became intermittent in the evening, probably because of bandwidth overload from too many users. I used the complimentary business office to check in and print boarding passes for our flights home, and the internet worked better there. Tracy, our greeter, did a good job checking us in upon our arrival. She explained everything and answered all our questions. We had a really great time in Maui and very comfortable stay at Kamaole Nalu #406. We would stay there again when we come to Maui next time.

Once again a wonderful vacation!

My daughters & I spent our secoond time in this condo! The view from the lanai is beautiful. Being right on the beach is a great draw but the pool worked out better this time because of the higher tide at times. The face that Cafe O'Lei has moved in across the street is an added bonus! It's, also, nice to know that there is an on-site manager now! She is a very pleasant addition! The grounds are beautifully kept & every morning the gentleman cleans the grills, washes down the walkways, & other general upkeep! They took the event of Flossie seriously & moved all of the furniture from the lanais, of the empty units, inside plus gathered all lounges to a safe place. Flossie did hit on Monday afternoon & evening with extremely high surf, roaring thunder & spectacular lightning during the fierce rainstorm. Had some of the rain come in under the sliding glass doors but that was taken care of quickly with a couple of rolls of paper towels! Since the beaches were closed early that morning, we were treated to 4-5 huge sea turtles playig among the rocks in front of the condo plus a rare sighting of 4 stingrays that swam by to check out the scene but kept on going! They drew a crowd of about 20 onlookers since the beach wasn't available! Great time was had byall

2 weeks in Paradise

We arrived, on July 17th, & were greeted by a representative from the company. A welcoming pineapple was unexpected but quite a treat! This condo is wonderful! It has 180 degree view so it was just the right place to see the beautiful sunsets every night. The decor was very nice & the furniture was comfortable as were the king siz bed in the master bathroom & the 2 queen size beds in the second bedroom. The dishwasher as well as the washer & dryer could be updated but served its purpose! There were several folding beach chairs available & we left 2 new boogie boards for future tenants use! The condo is located between the 3 best beaches in Maui, near restaurants, & other shopping! Fred's Mexican restaurant is quite good! We've gone there several times in the last 2 years! We will definitely return to #406 Our only complaint was that a couple of families on the first floor, in the second week, did not observe the quite periods! They were up & in the pool very early with a small boy who screamed all day! He may have had a disability, like autism, but his mother would sit him on a bench by the pool & ignored him for long periods then would ask him, "Are you finished"? One morning, she took him to the adjacent property & left him there screaming for 10 minutes or more! Very annoying! We will definitely return to #406! Not next year because of a pre-planned trip to Great Britain but will be there in 2014 for sure! We have friends who have stayed in the very same unit & loved it too!

Heaven!

A day in our Maui week: Coffee on the lanai overlooking early morning beachwalkers, then out the door without even having to put shoes on, and down to the beach for a morning snorkel. Pack the day's lunch from the fridge into a little cooler and off for the day's adventure. Return 'home' to barbeque, watch the turtles feed and soak up the best sunsets ever. Fall asleep to the sounds of waves crashing. Even though there was a bedroom where the children could have stayed, this was the perfect place for our romantic twosome holiday 🙂

fab holiday wished we had stayed longer.

Our condo was first class and had everything we needed and more very clean with a great veiw. The local shops were very good bigger shops were a bit of a walk, people were very pleasant have no real complaints other then the 20 per cent tip some places demanded was a bit heavy I am refering to a fishing trip we went on in particular. Great updated unit with fantastic views. Well stocked kitchen. Comfortable beds. Great service. We are already booked to go back to the Nalu next year.

A wonderful place to relax.

We have stayed at the Kamaole Nalu since our grown children were little. Unit 406 is a beautiful home, very comfortable bed,and lovely furnishings. We have stayed in other condos in Maui and the Kamaole Nalu is our favorite place. The view is unobstructed of the beach and coastline. Unit 406 has been remodeled with new appliances, granite countertops in the kitchen and bathroom. The mirrors on the walls bring in the ocean views. The location is right on the beach. Many shops and restaurants across the street. We can hardly wait to come back next year. The unit was very clean ,and we had all the kitchen items we needed. Alli Resorts does a very nice job. Also I would like to add the manager keeps the grounds in perfect condition.

A little piece of heaven! Everything was perfect! Unit 406 is lovely, clean and the view is amazing. Ali'i was wonderful too.

Great location, unbelievable view, beautiful condo

Condo is very comfortable and very nicely equipped. The property was right on a beautiful sandy beach in Maui. The view was amazing. Whales and turtles could be seen from the lanai. Beautiful sunsets and ocean sounds from all the rooms. Saw many fish and turtles snorkeling right off the property. Beach chairs and towels were provided. Very nice condo.

Excellent unit.

Parking in Nalu is becoming a nightmare. We had two nights where we had to park in the loading zone.

One of our best

We enjoyed two weeks of bueatiful weather (tsunami excluded) and KN #406 was also one of our best accomodations.

Great spot!

We have stayed there about 3 times and we feel like we are coming home. The location is fantastic. The views spectacular and the accommodation is great. Love the king size bed. Have trouble working the new oven though.

Great place to stay in Kihei

Unit #406 is at the very end of the complex, nearest the beach, so road noise is not a issue with this condo. The condo has been recently and nicely remodeled and with just 2 people we had plenty of space. The king-size bed in the master bedroom was very comfortable. The kitchen was well-equipped. The walls in the living room and master bedroom are mirrored, which gives the rooms a feeling of endless space. The view from the lanai is beyond gorgeous. You have a straight view of the sunset from the lanai. The beach is only a few steps away and it is clean and uncrowded (in October, even on weekends). Snorkeling is good around the rocks directly off the building; we saw turtles almost every time we went in the water. The pool is small but very clean. There is a computer on-site you can use to check-in online and print boarding passes-very convenient. There are 2 big grocery stores with a few miles (Foodland and Safeway) and lots of restaurants, convenience stores and souvenir shopping within walking distance. South Kihei Rd. is very busy, but drivers (usually) will stop for you to cross. There are a few drawbacks. No air conditioning means you must have the vents open for cooling and that lets the neighbors' noise in too. The surf noise can also be very loud, which was not a problem for us but others may be bothered by it. The lanais for units 405 and 505 have a view into the bedroom of 406 so you need to keep your drapes closed in the evening or you'll give your neighbors a show. There is only 1 television set in the condo. For marital harmony we need 2 TVs. The lanai is in full sun most of the day, a sunshade would be nice. No tub in the unit, only showers. Bottom line: clean, comfortable, reasonably priced, excellent location.

Paradise - location, location, location!

Except for the fact that the price is high to come to Hawaii now (Condo and airfare), we keep coming back. We've been coming to Kamaole Nalu since late 70's (probably been there 28 or 30 times always in an end unit). We have also sent many friends and relatives. We were disappointed in the cleanliness of the unit and the grounds (grass, flower beds, pool area/deck) needed work. But, you can't beat the location and the view. Susan Johnson

Awesome

No better place to stay. The location was superb; the view was magnificent; the condo was fabulous and we can't wait to come back in 2011! Our whole family has stayed here now, mom, dad, sisters and cousins. Everyone was just as impressed as we were.

Absolutely Great

We love it at Kamaole Nalu We have been there about six times. We love being right on the beach. The accommodation is perfect. We love the fact that #406 has a king size bed.

We loved our stay at Kamaole Naul, #406. Great spot in the building and very well laid out. Furnished nicely with easy to keep clean flooring etc. Can't wait to return.

Enjoyable vacation

We have stayed at the Nalu many times in the last decade. The staff has always been courteous. The check in was easy. We have particularly enjoyed the location and the view.

We come to Maui almost every other year and every time we come, we stay at Kamaole Nalu - and we always will.
  • Check-in time is 3:00pm / Check-out time is 11:00am.
  • Confirmed reservations will receive a letter of confirmation with a reservation number.
  • All units are non-smoking and pets are not permitted.
  • Rates are subject to change.
  • All rates are subject to 13.42% Hawaii State GE/TA Tax and are based on Standard Occupancy.
  • A 3-night deposit is required at time of booking. (Check deposits within 7 days of booking. All payments must be in US Dollars.)
  • Guest is responsible for the effects of changes in exchange rate and all fees. Refunds will not be issued due to exchange rate changes.
  • Full prepayment is due 60 days prior to arrival (90 days for Christmas/New Year’s bookings, 120 days for stays of 28+ nights).  Your final payment will be automatically charged to the credit card on file on the appropriate due date unless auto-charge is declined.
  • All reservations are subject to a Guest Service Fee which includes WiFi (when available), parking, local phone calls, applicable property fees and applicable cleaning costs.
  • Applicable cleaning fees will be added for stays less than 5 nights.
  • An Early Check In or Late Check-Out may be available at 50% of non-discounted daily rate.
  • Christmas/New Year’s reservations are not subject to normal discounts and minimum nights are required based on unit size. A 10 night minimum is required on 1 bedroom units and a 14 night minimum is required on 2 and 3 bedroom units.
  • Long-Stay Reservations: Any stay 28 nights or longer requires a deposit equaled to 25% of the total value of the reservation. Final prepayment is due 120 days prior to arrival.
  • Cancellation Policy: A fee of 10% of the gross rent or $200, whichever is greater, will be assessed for cancellations received 60+ days prior to arrival (90+ days for Christmas/New Year’s, 120+ days for Long-Stay). For cancellations received within 60 days of arrival (90 days for Christmas/New Year’s bookings, 120 days for stays of 28+ nights) or after arrival date, payments will be retained. If the space can be re-rented, a pro-rata refund will be issued for reservations paid in full.
  • Approved refunds will be remitted via check only and mailed to the address on file.
  • Standard Occupancy is the base number of persons allowed per dwelling unit based on standard bedding and restrictions. 1-Bedroom (2 people), 2-Bedroom (4 people), 3-Bedroom (6 people). Additional person(s) charge of $20 plus tax per person per night above standard occupancy using standard bedding to a maximum occupancy of: 1-Bedroom (4 people), 2-Bedroom (6 people), and 3-Bedroom (8 people). Children 12 and under are free (extra person fee does not apply), but are counted towards maximum occupancy.
  • Accidental Property Damage Waiver: Accidental Property Damage Waiver affords protection to guests for accidental breakage or damage to the individual rental home up to a maximum of $1000. Damage must be reported by the guest to the Ali’i Resorts office prior to departure. Damage not reported by guests will not be covered by Accidental Property Damage Waiver and the guest will be responsible for any damages incurred. Cost is $40 + tax and is non-refundable. This waiver protection is added to the rent unless guest opt-out/decline protection in writing on Rental Agreement. If you choose to deny the damage waiver, you will be charged a refundable $400 cash security deposit.
  • Guest is responsible for all phone charges exceeding local standard service.
  • All guests are required to complete the registration form within 24 hours of arrival with Ali’i Resorts and, if required, register with the property. Failure to complete the registration form may result in immediate eviction.
  • All guests are required to abide by the Rules of the vacation rental property.
  • Owner and /or Ali’i Resorts and /or hired vendors of Owner/Alii Resorts may enter property with 24-hour notice to tenants occupying unit (except during scheduled cleanings and emergencies) to perform necessary repairs or maintenance, inspect unit or show unit, if necessary.
  • Ali’i Resorts, LLC reserves the right to change your condominium accommodation due to repairs, condo owner use and acts of God. If this should happen, Ali’i Resorts, LLC will make efforts to provide you with another condominium of equal or greater value at the same rate you were paying, or refund the difference for a lower rate condominium, or allow cancellation of your reservation without a cancellation penalty.
