August 15th – 8th Annual Seed-to-Cup Coffee Festival 2015

Do you need a cup of hot java every morning to start feeling alive? Then see how the bean turns into your favorite brew at this free event at The Mill House’s Shell Theater and Center Lawn. The Mill House’s Executive Chef Jeff Scheer will demonstrate coffee roasting and pulping.

August 21st – Evita at the MACC’s Castle Theater

See one of Hawaii’s most popular and beloved artists, Ammy Hānaialiʻi shine in the starring role of Evita in this famous Broadway musical with a score from Andrew Lloyd Webber.

August 22nd – 17th Annual Ho’olaulea

Brought to you by the Hana Cultural Center, this free event features food booths, hula performances, traditional Hawaiian games, live music, and even a petting zoo. A great choice for the whole family.

August 23rd – Maui Solo Event Autocross

Car racing enthusiasts, start your engines for the Maui Solo Event Autocross Competition. Stop by the Maui Raceway Park at 9:45 AM for the first heat, and you’ll get to see some fast driving and cool feats.

August 25th – Roger McGuinn Performs at Iao Theater

If you love classic rock, then you have a chance to see a legend perform at the Iao Theater on August 25th. Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, Roger McGuinn will wow the crowds with his 12-string Rickenbacker guitar. Maybe you’ll even get to hear some of his classic Top 10 hits, like “Mr. Tambourine Man,” or “Eight Miles High.”

August 29th – Maui Obon Festival

Stretch your boundaries by visiting the Kula Shofukuji Mission and observing the Buddhist obon service, which honors the deceased. If this sounds dour, you’ll be surprised. The festival equally celebrates life, and you’ll get to see revelers dressed in bright kimono, listen to taiko drums, and watch dancers perform.

August 30th – Credit Unions of Maui Charity Golf Tournament

If you were already planning to golf during your time in Maui, why not do it for a good cause? Visit the beautiful Kahili Golf Course on Sunday, August 30th at 7:30 AM for check-in with a partner and put your swing to the test!
