Menehune Shores House Rules
A note from the owner: Unit 412 is on the 4th floor offering a very private lanai and is the closest you can get to the water. When you are sitting on the lanai you hear the waves flowing over the lava wall that creates the historical fish pond, while enjoying spectacular views/sunsets. During whale season you can watch the whales as they breach. It's extremely relaxing and romantic.
Menehune Shores is next to the historical 16th Century Alii (Royal) fish Pond of Kalepolepo. Protected by off shore reefs, the pond provides safe swimming for children and those adults wishing to swim in the smooth waters of the pond. This is also a great place to swim with the green sea turtles.
There is a solar heated swimming pool with a large sunbathing deck overlooking the ocean. Palm trees surround the grassy landscaped areas around the complex and there are miles of sandy beaches for sunning or strolling.
We are located next to the Whale Sanctuary where you can check on the history and information on the Humpback Whales, green sea turtles and other ocean creatures. On the south side of the sanctuary there is a beautiful sandy beach for swimming and snorkeling. The rooftop garden is a great place to cook outdoors on our gas grills and enjoy the picnic tables for a family outing. From the rooftop you have a spectacular panoramic view of the ocean, upcountry of Haleakala, West Maui Mountains, the island of Kaho'olawe, and the Molokini Island Crater. This is also a great place to watch the Humpback whales in season, (December through April).
For more island excitement, there is a near by canoe club that will take you on a wonderful experience of a six man outrigger canoe ride. The unit offers a widescreen TV (with cable), home theater/entertainment surround system with blu-ray DVD. There is high speed internet which can be connected either by a network cable (there is one onsite) or wireless.

Menehune Shores is a beautiful six story oceanfront property located in North Kihei and offers unobstructed views of the clear blue Pacific.
