Join us for one of the premier events of the season for stand up paddle-boarding (SUP) and outrigger canoes (OC) as they cruise Maui’s famous north shore coastline in the “Maliko Downwind Run”.

Each year in May the island of Maui holds one of the largest, most premier SUP and OC races of the season.  “Ho’olaule’a”, literally means “celebration” of the ocean and culture that surrounds it but it is also an expression of gratitude. Friends and families come together to enjoy canoe sailing, surfing, Hawaiian games, traditional luau, hula and live music. This is a very well organized event that attracts hundreds of paddlers.

The event blends elite competition with family-friendly cultural activities and gathers some of the world’s best SUP, OC1 AND OC2 paddlers to race the legendary 8-mile Maliko Downwind Run.

You are invited to stop by and support this event located at Kanaha Beach Park in the town of Kahului. This is the location of the water finish line and where the hub of the action will be.
