Just as the chill of October starts to sweep in, pack your shorts, flip-flops, and sunscreen. Maui fall vacation, here you come! October 3rd – Hana Parade and Ho’olaulea

October 11th – Maui ‘Ukulele Festival
This free event celebrates one of Hawaii’s enduring traditional instruments, the ‘ukulele. Keep your ears open for some sweet tunes starting at 1 PM at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center. You’ll also get the opportunity to purchase arts and crafts and island foods from local vendors.
October 16th – Lahaina Plantation Days
Come celebrate Maui’s plantation heritage, which will highlight multi-ethnic cuisines that were grown on Maui’s plantations, including dishes from China, Japan, Portugal, the Philippines, Korea, and Puerto Rico. You’ll get to taste lots of great food, see cooking demonstrations, and even learn how to be a gardener yourself!
October 31st – Halloween in Lahaina
Young or old, you need to find a costume and celebrate Halloween in style in Lahaina. The streets will be filled with little witches and goblins and the latest popular comic book heroes. Enjoy this fun evening and don’t let your better angels stop you from eating lots of candy!
