The Maui Chamber of Commerce hosts a free fireworks display just after sunset, at 8 p.m. Fireworks can be viewed almost anywhere across Lahaina from the beach, charter boats, or you can catch the spectacular show from viewpoints on Front Street.

Want something for the kids, or feel like getting in touch with your inner cowboy? Head upcountry to Makawao Town from 9 a.m. – noon  on (need date) for the historic paniolo (Hawaiian cowboy) parade that runs from Baldwin Ave. to Eddie Tam Center. This annual parade includes horses, live music, colorful costume displays and is the kick-off event for the Makawao Rodeo held annually at the Oskie Rice Arena.  Join in on this 4th of July fun, food and entertainment.

Pacific Whale Foundation July Fourth Fireworks & Cocktail Cruise

If you want to skip fighting a crowd of hundreds to get a peek at Lahaina’s 4th of July fireworks display, Pacific Whale Foundation has you covered.

The organization is hosting three cruises on double-deck catamarans that include all-American favorite appetizers, Hawaiian BBQ glazed ribs, marinated chicken breast, a grilled veggie medley, Mediterranean pasta salad, potato-macaroni salad, rolls, sliced watermelon, triple chocolate brownies, cocktails, and festive music.
